Of all these photos, this is the only one actually not taken in Guanajuato, but rather in close-by San Miguel Allande. In an empty church, an old woman with traditional apron and black shawl was having a heart-to-heart talk with the Virgin, which was not quiet and not unemotional. This old woman was irritated or concerned, giving the Virgin an earful, and for me an almost unbearable intimacy.
