This was photographed in 1998 at the Tajin ruins in northern Mexican State of Veracruz, near the town of Papantla. El Tajin was being renovated, a new site museum built, and the facilities for a Voladores performance built to add to the tourism draw. The pole is steel and about sixty feet tall.
